Twelve Month Minis

January's frozen toes
and icy throes...
but sunshine does peek thru

mid February days
some icy glaze
warmed spirits begin to glow

the cold blows in
as March grows thin
robins new perch do find

morning's April mist
its place insist
but green will sprout about

the play of May
with sweet display
lacy pinks and golds appear

the tune of June
nature fresh hewn
as ripening seasons whirl

July's patriot lands
with marching bands
our steps make firm resound

like an uncle dear
August makes clear
transparent apples fill the tree

September bends so many ways
fulll of delight tho shorter days
its turn to reappear

October's autumn elves
dance from leaf to leaves
hanging onto to summer's wares

more solemn now
November comes for nature rest
gathered in bounty to be Christblest

how grateful for December's time
the eternal embrace of One sublime
as another year does close.
