Taking November Lightly, Brightly

It is early November
Late afternoon
Past 4 0’clock
The sky is blinding blue
Lambclouds bounding here and there
Back of our Susquehanna homes
The woodsy hills draped with heavy tapestry
Artistically woven with brilliant golds
Wild dogwood’s scarlet fruit
Maples declining reds and yellows
Low bushes painted dainty chartreuse
Oak leaves burgundy into brown
Fallen leaves
Curled up into crisp obscurities
Leaves hanging on
Leaves afloat
Brilliant sunshine glares
Bringing out the hidden lines of
Tree limbs intermingled
Like threads holding it all together.

Autumn Afternoon Reflection

I glanced outdoors and saw
brilliant, dying leaves beaking loose
swirling - then softly falling
in the autumnal, chilly breese
my heart; 'setfree' with joy to know
My Creator's unlimited ability!
Eternal 'Create ability'

California news report
burning hills and valleys
careless use of fires
homeless people shocked and staring
I sighed, breathed the 'setfree' truth
defeated Lucifer's only ability
impermanent -"destruct ability'"
