Doubt Mountain Cast into the Sea

What began as a worry sandpile
Grew and grew and grew
Until It became as large as the Alps
Hard cold inpenetrable
Dangerously formed
Precipice engorged
Icy, slippery, life threatening…gasping for breath
Doubt Mountain covering my total landscape

Then Jesus whisper became a victory shout!
‘Be still and know that I Am God’
EternalFaith can move mountains into the sea
The sea of nothingness!
At last I believed Him…
Blessed soul relief...
But it took a long time of suffering before
Believing His Truth.
Inherited 'sinmountains' dissolved
Washed by tears of repentance midst joy

Alas, once again I am tempted to look away from Truth
I am aware of wee sandpiles of doubt forming
Beginning their 'dunespiral' upward and outward
Again I feel loneliness and agony away from Him,
Remembering Christ, I yield to communion with Him
Know Truth in stillness
That sets free
In awe
I watch the sanddune shadows flee
Watch Doubt Mountain cast into the sea
Diminished by Faithful Him in me.
